Tips On Saving Money, Single Parent Finance

Once you determine you’re going to become a single parent, seek child support. Your best bet with child support is to start early. Many states allow women to file for child support while they are pregnant. You can even request partial payment for your prenatal expanses.

When your kids are babies, find a nearby consignment shop willing to do trades. You can take in nicer baby clothes that your kids hardly wore and trade up for bigger sizes

Check out consignment shops for yourself. You’d be surprised how many shops sell designer clothing that are brand new, or worn maybe once or twice.

Find outlet stores, don’t buy retail.

Try not to take younger kids shopping with you. Until your children are around ten years old, it’s best to just get to know their taste and pick up their clothes on your own.

Pawn shops are great places to shop for household appliances.

Use coupons in Sunday paper. Keep them in an envelop in your car. They will come in handy.
